Awesome screenshot extension in chrome11/23/2023 ![]() ![]() Many browser extensions come with additional features such as creating animated GIFs of screen recordings, or editing tools. Since Chrome is the most popular browser, it has thousands of available extensions and this includes a wide range of screenshot tools. ![]() The best extensions for taking screenshots in ChromeĪ browser extension is a piece of software you add to your browser to change how it operates or add new functionality to it. There are a number of Google Chrome extensions that provide easy screenshot access, as well as a number of other powerful features. Though these steps become easy to remember over time, there are more convenient ways to quickly take a screenshot than opening the developer console. It is important to note that ‘Capture area screenshot’ only works within the selected Chrome window - attempting to use it to capture content in a different Chrome window or in other applications will not work. If you select ‘Capture area screenshot’ it will only be downloaded once you have selected your chosen area. Once you select a screenshot option, a screenshot will immediately be downloaded through Chrome in the form of a PNG image. 'Capture node screenshot' captures specific HTML/DOM elements on the page, which can be selected using the element inspection tool.'Capture area screenshot' changes the cursor to a cross, allowing you to draw a selection box over the specific section of the browser window you wish to capture.'Capture full-size screenshot' is the same as ‘Capture screenshot’ but it captures an entire webpage from top to bottom - this is helpful for long pages that get cropped in traditional screenshots.'Capture screenshot' takes a screenshot of the entire visible Chrome window, including only the content visible in the user window and discounting tabs, the bookmark bar, or any other on-screen content outside of Chrome. There are four kinds of screenshots you can take in Chrome natively, depending on your need: What type of screenshot can I take in Chrome? Click the screenshot option that best fits your needs, explained further below.Next, open the command menu by pressing Control+Shift+P on Windows and Linux, or Command+Shift+P on Mac.Open the command menu by typing Control+Shift+P on Windows and Linux, or Command+Shift+P on Mac. Right-click an empty space on the Chrome window and click 'Inspect' (or use Control+Shift+I on Windows and Linux, or Command+Option+I on Mac).Chrome’s screenshot options are quite intuitive to use but finding them takes some doing. Awesome Screenshot has the (unique among screenshot-taking Chrome extensions) feature of capturing a portion of the current webpage while scrolling the browser window, which the listed alternatives Lightshot and Webpage Screenshot do not have (the latter extension, however, allows for capturing a screenshot of an entire webpage and cropping it.

28 days later streaming service11/22/2023 ![]() Even more than the plot and its big questions, what I’ve carried with me for the past 10 years are individual moments, like the quiet beauty of Mercury passing in front of the sun, or the sight of Michelle Yeoh weeping while the ship burns around her. And all throughout, it remains a source of striking imagery. Luckily, the story finds its footing again, right before the end. The film’s final act is its weakest - without giving away major spoilers, I can say that the Icarus II eventually stumbles across the abandoned Icarus I, and disappointingly, the movie detours into a nonsensical horror plot. Again and again, they confront the question of how much their lives are worth in the context of a mission that will literally decide the fate of humanity. Over the course of the film, Cillian Murphy’s Robert Capa and a crew of international actors are forced by bad luck and their own mistakes to make impossibly difficult decisions. In Sunshine‘s case, the astronauts are tasked with a mission of enormous importance - our sun is dying, and the spaceship Icarus II is carrying a bomb designed to restart it. I don’t know whether the makers of Interstellar, Gravity and Alien Covenant were directly influenced, but they ask many of the same questions - not quite as smartly or effectively, but usually with a bigger budget and more impressive financial returns. I’m particularly reminded of Sunshine every time I watch another movie about space exploration and colonization. The movie seems to be remembered fondly outside my social circle, too - it was included in a recent “10 years later” screening series at my neighborhood movie theater, and it just appeared on Rolling Stone’s list of the best sci-fi movies of the 21st century (at least 30 spots too low, but still). ![]() Usually, when I mention it in conversation, people just stare at me blankly, but once in a while, someone’s eyes will light up and they’ll say, “Oh my God, I love that movie!” (One of the greatest moments of my life was briefly geeking out about it with Oscar Isaac, who auditioned for a role in Sunshine and was subsequently cast in Garland’s Ex Machina. Still, Sunshine may be the movie I’ve rewatched most in the decade since then. And while Boyle, Garland and Murphy have each had their subsequent successes, they haven’t made another film together. ![]() One of the actors, future Captain America Chris Evans, started bringing it up in interviews as an example of how no one had seen his “good” movies. ![]() After its release in the summer of 2007, Sunshine underperformed globally, making only $32 million (compared to the $85 million earned by 28 Days Later), with a paltry $3.6 million in the U.S. Sadly, any hopes about the film’s broader impact quickly faded. In addition to reinventing and revitalizing the zombie movie, it showed how low-budget, handheld filmmaking could be used to blend science fiction and horror in a way that was both emotionally compelling and scary as hell.Īnd although it was more science fictional than 28 Days Later, with a larger budget, Sunshine still seemed very much like a spiritual successor, bringing the same indie approach to outer space. Their first, 28 Days Later, had been a surprising success. It was the second collaboration between director Danny Boyle, screenwriter Alex Garland and star Cillian Murphy. Sunshine, it seemed to me, was pointing to a promising new direction for science fiction film. When the movie ended, my friend and I spent an extra 10 minutes on the floor, trying to find his misplaced glasses.ĭespite the sub-optimal viewing conditions, I remember feeling genuinely thrilled by what I’d seen. The first time I saw Sunshine, it was in a movie theater packed with awkward men (in my memory, the audience was at least 90 percent male).

33 rpm record player11/22/2023 Download and print off the disc with markings and place it on your platter. You can download strobe discs for free from many sites on the internet, such as from here on the Vinyl Engine Forum. So, how do you test the turntable speed? Below, we discuss the two main methods. You’ve recently bought your favourite record on vinyl and you just can’t get it out of your head that the speed doesn’t feel right. One day you might be listening to a record and feel the speed is a little off. But how do you check that the speed is correct? Read on! So, now you know all the background and basics about record player speed and how it all works. How To Test The Speed Of Your Record Player One issue with belt-drives is that, over time, the belt can stretch or slip meaning that the speed of your platter is more likely to change. However, having a belt-drive eliminates motor noise and gives you a more natural sound. The downside of this is that the vibrations from the motor, due to being directly under the platter, transfers some of its vibrations through the platter and can affect the sound you hear.īelt-drives, on the other hand, take longer to build up to their correct playing speed so you may have to wait a bit longer before dropping the needle on your favourite record. Well, wonder no more:ĭirect-drives are mainly used by DJ’s as they get up to speed pretty quickly and the platter is free from any resistance without a band – These are pretty much necessities for DJing and mixing. “But why are there two different versions, and what does this mean for the speed?” I hear you ask. A belt-drive record player has the motor offset which is connected to a spindle via a belt which then rotates the main platter – kind of like a pulley system. In very simple terms, direct-drive record players have the motor directly under the platter that rotates the platter from straight underneath. This helps determine the turntable speed. The type of drive your record player has is how the motor, which powers the movement of your record player, is connected to the system. (If you do want a bit of fun, however, some 45s can sound better slower… check out this article).ĭepending on which record player you have, you will either have a switch that you can flick to play at a speed of either 33 ⅓ or 45 RPM, or you may have to manually move the belt underneath the platter if you have a belt-drive system rather than a direct-drive system. If you play a 7 inch single at 33 ⅓ RPM, you will be transported to something in the realms of a horror movie as vocals linger and drawn out sounds feel muffled and distorted due to the slower speed. As you may know, if you put an LP (12 inch) on a record player at a 45 RPM speed, it will be going too fast and therefore all the music will sound like The Chipmunks. Got the basics? Good! But how can they both play on your record player? Well, your record player is probably quite clever, and can easily switch from one turntable speed to the other to accommodate playing either a 45 RPM record or a 33 ⅓ speed record. Because of this, 7-inch records are perfect for releasing singles which can house a couple of tracks on each side. 45 RPM (7 inch) records are smaller in size and cheaper to produce, and can house around 5 minutes per side. ![]() ![]() ![]() Due to the listening time of around 22 minutes, 33 ⅓ RPM (12 inch) records are primarily used for LPs (Long Play Records) which house full albums split over 2 sides.

Catheter ablation flutter11/22/2023 ![]() ![]() We also are able to utilize the most advanced mapping systems. Although this procedure is considered curative, one-third of AFL patients have significant risk of developing atrial fibrillation (AF) 2 that along with coexistent AFL increases risk of developing serious symptoms 3. We are one of only a handful of centers in the United States that provide a complete suite of approaches to AFib, including hybrid procedures with epicardial robotic surgery in conjunction with endocardial ablation. Catheter ablation is a commonly performed procedure to achieve rhythm control in patients with typical atrial flutter (AFL) 1. Current research seeks to understand the mechanisms of atrial fibrillation, which appear to come from multiple areas at the same time.Īt the University of Chicago Medicine, our team uses special catheters that allow them to know how much force is being applied onto the tissue, which has been shown to improve the success rate for the procedure. We start with the initial set of treatments and then we get more aggressive as the pest problem declares itself to be more and more stubborn. We come in and we do a treatment and we can control the cases but frequently it requires multiple treatments. We give patients the analogy that atrial fibrillation is like a pest problem in your home. The ECG in Acute MI.Similar to atrial flutter, treatment options for AFib include anticoagulation (blood thinners) and controlling the arrhythmia with medication or catheter ablation therapy.Īblation is also effective in 60% to 70% of AFib patients. Similar mechanisms exist for the other types of AVNRT.This most common type of re-entrant circuit is termed Slow-Fast AVNRT.The short cycle length is responsible for the rapid heart rate. This creates a circus movement whereby the impulse continually cycles around the two pathways, activating the Bundle of His anterogradely and the atria retrogradely (3).By the time the premature impulse reaches the end of the slow pathway, the fast pathway is no longer refractory, and the impulse is permitted to recycle retrogradely up the fast pathway (2).However, if a premature atrial contraction (PAC) arrives while the fast pathway is still refractory, the electrical impulse will be directed solely down the slow pathway (1).The impulse transmitted down the fast pathway enters the distal end of the slow pathway and the two impulses cancel each other out During normal sinus rhythm, electrical impulses travel down both pathways simultaneously.Mechanism of re-entry in “slow-fast” AVNRT:ġ) A premature atrial contraction (PAC) arrives while the fast pathway is still refractory, and is directed down the slow pathwayĢ) The ERP in the fast pathway ends, and the PAC impulse travels retrogradely up the fast pathwayģ) The impulse continually cycles around the two pathways Initiation of re-entry In comparison to AVRT, which involves an anatomical re-entry circuit (Bundle of Kent), in AVNRT there is a functional re-entry circuit within the AV node. The condition is generally well tolerated and is rarely life threatening in patients with pre-existing heart disease. It may self-resolve or continue indefinitely until medical treatment is sought The tachycardia typically ranges between 140-280 bpm and is regular in nature.Rarely, polyuria due to elevated atrial pressures causing release of atrial natriuretic peptide.Chest pain, especially in the context of underlying coronary artery disease.Presyncope or syncope due to a transient fall in blood pressure.Patients will typically complain of the sudden onset of rapid, regular palpitations. It is more common in women than men (~ 75% of cases occurring in women) and may occur in young and healthy patients as well as those suffering chronic heart disease.AVNRT is typically paroxysmal and may occur spontaneously or upon provocation with exertion, caffeine, alcohol, beta-agonists (salbutamol) or sympathomimetics (amphetamines). This is the commonest cause of palpitations in patients with structurally normal hearts.

Normal CBC values change with patients’ age, weight, and other health factors, but most tests contain healthy measurement ranges to help your doctor interpret the results.
